Cloud Migration Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:
The Cloud Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) tracks the status of LDG components and their readiness for movement into Cloud,  helps coordinate with DAAS, Network, and Linux administrators and support contactors for dependencies specific to cloud networking, account access, and permissions. The SME also assesses overall Cloud efforts and tracks miscellaneous details impacted by FQDN changes such as SSL certificates.

Additionally, the SME:

  • Provides oversight and assessment of technical migration activities, dependencies, and impacts
  • Analyzes operational problems, develops solutions and takes corrective action as
    appropriate to ensure continued Automation Information System (AIS) operation
  • Assists specialists in analysis, corrective action, problem identification and resolution in existing applications by analyzing system processes, interrelationships, interfaces, and data

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with databases, updates, and verification of functionality/connectivity as they are migrated into AWS
  • Experience supporting and managing an LDAP instance and assisting in the migration to the AWS cloud environment (Linux Servers)
  • Administration support experience of Siteminder and Harvest applications and their migrations to the cloud (Windows Servers)
  • Ability to update web site SSL certifications, with focus on LDG website (BO) and web services (Informatica)
  • Prior experience with cloud migrations (AWS, DLA, or other)
