Software Engineer

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:   

 This Software Engineer resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects. Participates in development of software user manuals. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs for the system. Provides overall system maintenance and sustainment such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, communications, interoperability, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Assists all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluates new and existing software products, and supports other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:  

Experience with the following tools and environments:

TOOLS:

1-2 years of experience with the following is strongly preferred:

  • React.js UI development (Required)
  • Java
  • Javascript
  • Springboot, Spring Framework
  • Jira & Confluence
  • DoD and/or other U.S. Government agency

Understanding of the following tools and technologies will be beneficial:

  • Redux
  • Node.js and Next.js
  • Unit Test development
  • REST web services
  • GitLab
  • Microservice application architecture

 ENVIRONMENTS:

  • AWS cloud hosting (Required)

PROCESSES:

  • Agile Scrum
  • Requirements elicitation, and Epic/Story/Task decomposition
  • Technical Specification (documentation) development

CERTIFICATION AND SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • IAT-I one of the following: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, Security+
  • AWS certification encouraged
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree plus 1-2 years of experience

Or

  • 5+ years of relevant technical programming experience
